Congress: IASP Regional Symposium in the Caribbean

On the 22nd to the 25th May 2013 the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) in collaboration with the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research (IGSR) hold the 1st “International Association for Suicide Prevention Regional Symposium” in Paramaribo, Suriname.

This Symposium aims to provide local participants with an update on suicide research and prevention in Suriname. Regional participants will have the opportunity to explore and analyse the latest knowledge and developments on preventing suicide by restricting access to very lethal means such as pesticides. There will be ample opportunity to discuss these findings and how to adapt evidence based research into suicide prevention activities in a Caribbean cultures.
